Hike to Nagarkot

The journey starts from Sundarijal from where you take tone paved stairs for around three hours where you open up to the panoramic and close of views of mountains. You then descend down to Chisapani with close up views of mountains in sight. As you leave Chisapani, you take an easy path through a forest and vibrant villages to Nagarkot. Nagarkot is a popular holiday destination in Nepal for spectacular views of mountains.

Hike to Kakani

Kakani is a popular picnic and outing spot in Nepal which offers beautiful views of mountains and forests. The lush landscape, mountain views and fresh air as you stand on the hill top is a peculiar feature of Kakani. You take a drive from Kathmandu, 29 kilometres north until you Kakani. On the way, you can taste delicious trout fishes which are quite popular there. Upon your arrival, you head towards the view point that offers some splendid views of mountains like Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Annapurna, Ganesh Himal, Mt. Gauri Shankar and many others.

Hike to Dhulikhel

A hike to Dhulikhel can be a jovial experience as you pass through lush landscape, terraced farmlands and some vibrant villages. It is an opportunity to get some fascinating views of Karyolung Himal in the east and Himalchuli to the west. The sight of the mountains and lush landscape looks gorgeous. Similarly, Namo Buddha is a popular and artistic monastery built there. It is said to be a place where the legendary prince Semchen Chenpo sacrificed himself to a mother tigress to fulfill her hunger.

Hike to Shivapuri

Shivapuri National Park is one of the most easily assessable national park in Kathmandu. You can reach the entrance of Shivapuri National Park after a half an hour or an hour ride from Kathmandu. As you walk up through the national park, you will find yourself walking in a pristine nature with forest around. You can see monkeys jumping from one tree to another. The park is a home to many wild animals and if lucky, you may encounter one! As you walk up, you come across a monastery. You can end your hiking here or continue the same trail to Chisapani.

Hike to Daman

Daman is also a beautiful vantage point near Kathmandu that offers fascinating views of mountains like Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Cho Oyu, Ganesh Himal, Dorjee Lakpa, Langtang Himal, Gaurishankar, etc. The views of lush hills, mountains, forests and waterfall from this place is a superb combination
