Everest Base Camp Trek

Everest Base Camp blog - Himal Eco Treks

Get set for an amazing journey to the highest peak of the world- “Mt. Everest.” The accomplishment of being on the top would be a souvenir of your adventurous journey! Initiate your journey with an absolutely amazing flight to Lukla and experience the awesomeness of flying parallel to the sky-dominating peaks with a wonderful landscape beneath! A flight to Lukla takes you to the Khumbu region of Solukhumbhu district in the Sagarmatha zone of northeast Nepal at an elevation of 2860m; the homeland of the almighty Mt. Everest.

Everest Base Camp Trek commences from the flourishing village of Lukla and descends down along the Dudhkoshi River. The trail follows a route to Namche which progresses to a well-paved path to Phakding (2610m). The route eventually passes various suspension bridges and continues through dense rhododendron forests. The village of Benkar, Chumoa, and Monjo will ultimately lead you to Sagarmatha National park as well as to Namche (3440m) via Jorsale. Moreover, the narrow and busy streets of Namche are going to amuse you. Also, the dzopko hauled with heavy loads, children playing in the streets, and the traders passing along the narrow streets of Namche, the town is bizarre.

From Namche, our journey progresses with a hike to Everest View Hotel. From there you can have some wonderful views of the mountains. After beholding the memory of picturesque mountains from the hotel, you head back to Namche. On the way, you can explore the Sherpa culture museum and Everest Photo Gallery. After enough acclimatization in Namche, continue your journey to Tengboche (3860m). Likewise another popular place in the trial for the awe-inspiring views of mountains and Tengboche monastery. Most of the time you get to see appealing views of towering mountains. Afterward, you head to Dingboche (4410m) and then to Lobuche (4910m).

After the day's long effort, you reach your ultimate destination- “Everest Base Camp” at an elevation of 5364m. Not to mention the view that you see in front of your eyes as you reach the base camp is spectacular. Also to behold forever in your memory. The splendor of the glittering white mountains standing tall one after the other is truly amazing. From Everest Base Camp, you can hike up to Kalapathaar for close-up views of the mountains that lie in the Everest range. Mountains like Mt. Everest,  Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Pumori, Ama Dablam, and Island peak.  And Finally, your journey to base camp ends with a return journey to Lukla via Gorakshep, Pheriche, and Namche.
