20 days long trek, Dhaulagiri Base Camp Trek 2021 is an
amazing way to explore the natural and cultural diversity of Dhaulagiri of
Nepal. It starts from the foothills of Dhaulagiri massif and takes you all the
way from the lush hills, forests, valleys, and villages to high altitude rocky
terrain. On the way, we pass diverse vegetation that acts as a home to various
species of floras, faunas, birds, and wildlife. Also, we traverse through
various settlement areas inhabited by people from different communities like
Rai, Magar and Thakali. It starts with a sightseeing tour in Kathmandu which is
followed by a drive to Darbang via Pokhara. From Darbang, we start walking
along the lush hills, fields, and villages on the way. We pass villages like
Sibang, Litchi, Bogara and climb up along the forested area to Dobang. Then we
descend down to Choriban Khola and climb up towards Italian Base Camp. At this
point, we can notice the change in atmosphere and vegetation. We are already at
high altitude region. From here, we climb up to Dhaulagiri Base Camp via Glacier
Camp. From the Dhaulagiri Base Camp, we cross French pass to enter into the
hidden valley. We will be showered with some stunning views of mountains in
Dhaulagiri massif. Further, we cross the Dhampus pass to reach Yak Kharka.
Leaving Yak Kharka, we descend down to Jomsom and fly back to Pokhara. In this
